THE Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has signed agreement with government of Fujian province, pledging to support the development of two large airport clusters in the west and the east of the province, Xinhua reports.
The two clusters will be formed by year 2015. The western one will mostly serve Xiamen and Quanzhou while the eastern one will take Fuzhou airport as it focus.
According to the agreement, CAAC and Fujian government will strengthen their cooperation in airport planning, formulating management mechanisms and policies to boost development of Fujian commercial aviation. The two sides will also join in expanding cross strait air services to Taiwan.
