SINGAPORE's APL, a container shipping arm of Neptune Orient Lines (NOL), has announced it will impose a US$200 per TEU peak season surcharge on services from Asia to North Europe and the Mediterranean, starting December 28.
This follows other carriers' peak season surcharge announcements on the same trade lanes which include: $200 per TEU by UASC from December 16; $225 per TEU by Hapag-Lloyd from December 19; $200 per TEU by Maersk Line from December 26; $225 per TEU by Zim Integrated Shipping from Dec. 26; and $225 per TEU by MSC from January 1.
