    Hanjin joins Emirates in slot swap to extend China-India service

    KOREA's Hanjin Shipping has announced that it is expanding its China-India offering from July 10 by chartering 500 TEU in slots from Emirates Shipping's HGX (Hyper Galex) while Emirates takes the same amount from Hanjin's FMX (Far East-Middle East Express).

    Said Hanjin: "This is our second service dedicated to Far East/China-India trade in addition to our existing FIX (Far East-India Express) service. It will certainly help us strengthen our market presence in the trade where cargo demand is steadily growing."

     

    Hanjin also said it was always making efforts to expand east-west transpacific and Asia-Europe routes, as well as expanding its intra-Asia service network.

     

    The HGX (Hyper Galex) rotation is Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Da Chan Bay, Singapore, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva, Pipavav, Karachi, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Qingdao.

     

    The FIX (Far East-India Express) rotation is Qingdao, Ulsan, Busan, Kwangyang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen-Yantian, Singapore, Nhava Sheva, Penang, Singapore and back to Qingdao.
